The World’s First Underwater Villa Is Now Open For Business

The Muraka, the world’s first underwater villa located at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island resort, is now open.

DeeperBlue.com reported in September on the Villa’s first advert featuring freediver Alessia Zecchini.

The stunning villa is now open and provides two floors of accommodation, one above the water, and one below. Underwater you can find bedrooms surrounded by coral reefs, so you can lie in your bed and watch the reef life through the glass walls. You can also dine underwater and enjoy the scenery while having a five-star dinner.

Since nobody wants to spend all of their time underwater, the above-water facilities are also opulent, with access to the sea as well as a private swimming pool. If you are wondering about prices for stays, they are not published yet, although they will probably be several thousand dollars per night.
