Volivoli Beach Resort has announced the discovery of several new dive sites.
The new sites are located around the Bligh Water area, famous internationally as the “soft coral capital of the world.”
One of the new sites is a seamount pinnacle that rises from a depth of 65 meters/213 feet at the sea bed up to 30 meters/98.4 feet. The site is rich with hard coral, anemones, and lots of fish action. The pinnacle features some turtles, hanging around and Grey reef sharks can be seen in the slightly deeper waters.
Due to its shape and location, Volivoli Beach Resort has decided to call the site “Root Canal.”
