Aggressor Adventures Launches Tubbataha Expedition

Aggressor Adventures has announced an expedition aboard the liveaboard vessel Philippines Aggressor to the world-renowned Tubbataha Reef.

Aggressor Adventures has announced an expedition aboard the liveaboard vessel Philippines Aggressor to the world-renowned Tubbataha Reef.

The trip will take place from June 13–20, 2026, and will feature renowned scientists and experts in reef biodiversity.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to exceptional diversity, big pelagic activity, massive coral wall, and more, Tubbataha Reef is one of the best diving destinations on the planet.

The trip will feature the director of the Tubbataha Management Office alongside two world-renowned scientists, including:

  • Kent Carpenter of Old Dominion University: A a leading ichthyologist focused on marine biodiversity in the Philippines. Active in the region since 1975, he has been instrumental in documenting reef fish communities at Tubbataha since 2018. He is also widely known as a co-author of the influential 2005 study that designated the Philippines as the “center of the center” for global marine shorefish biodiversity.
  • Klaus Stiefel: A marine biologist, underwater photographer, and author based in the Philippines since 2014. He holds teaching roles at the University of the Philippines and Silliman University. He blends scientific expertise with visual storytelling to help guests appreciate reef ecosystems.

Commenting on the trip, Sabine Camacho, reservations office manager at Aggressor Adventures, stated:
