Alexey Molchanov Grabs Free Immersion CMAS World Record And Gold Medal

The final day of the CMAS 4th Freediving Outdoor World Championship was as spectacular as the rest of the competition to date.  36 competitors took to the dive platforms in Roatan, Honduras and competed in the Free Immersion (FIM) discipline.  No less than 18 National Records and one World Record were set.

The golden suited Russian diver Alexey Molchanov continued his reign at the top of the leaderboard with a 118m dive in 4min 26secs to secure a new CMAS World Record and the men’s gold medal for Free Immersion.  Alessia Zecchini from Italy took gold for the women.
