BLU3’s Battery-Powered Dive Systems Are a Gateway for New Scuba Divers

-

BLU3 showcased two new battery-powered tankless dive systems at DEMA Show 2022 in Orlando, Florida.

As a subsidiary of Brownie’s Marine Group, the company is no stranger to surface-supplied air systems. Their Brownie’s Third Lung system is the original hookah diving system that allows more than one diver to use the system at a time.

BLU3 CEO Blake Carmichael discussed how their systems do not compete with the dive industry. In fact, they can be a gateway to developing future scuba divers. The systems allow for only a single user and are extremely portable.

Touted as the world’s smallest dive system, the systems allow for only a single user (as opposed to the “Third Lung” system) and are portable enough to carry on an airplane. The Nemo retails for US$1,299/~€1,315. Perfect for treasure hunting, boat maintenance, swimming pools and learning divers, the Nemo has the following specifications:

Weight: 10 lb / 4.5 kg
Max Depth: 10 Feet / 3 Meters
Run Time: 60-90 Minutes Per Battery
Battery Charge Time: 3 Hours

The Nomad is very similar to the Nemo except it has a longer depth capability. It retails for US$1,999/~€2,023 with the following specifications:

Weight: 15 lb /7 kg
Max-Depth: 30 Feet / 9 Meters
Run Time: 45-60 minutes Per Battery
Battery Charge Time: 3 Hours
