The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has announced its annual “Get into Your Sanctuary” celebration slated for August 2-4, 2019.
It’ll be the fifth time the event is held, and it aims to celebrate and raise awareness about the importance of National Marine Sanctuaries and why they have to be kept healthy and striving.
The long weekend will feature a host of events across the various sanctuaries. However, the details have yet to be announced so you will have to check back as more information is announced.
As part of the celebration, there will be a photography contest, running from May 25 to September 2, 2019.
