Final submissions for the eighth annual International Maritime Film Festival are due by tomorrow, August 9.
According to the festival organizers:
“The International Maritime Film Festival (IMFF) is an annual juried contest of feature-length and short films that celebrate maritime heritage, the spirit of ocean adventure, the ingenuity of boats and waterborne pursuits and the relationships we have with special environments. It is the premier event for maritime-themed filmmaking.”
The festival is scheduled to take place September 26-28 in person at the Alamo Theater in Bucksport, Maine and online from October 1st through 31st on Vimeo.
Winners will be notified by August 23rd, with the Grand Prize Feature Length Film winner getting US$500 (~€457) and a runner-up getting $250 (~€229).
The Grand Prize Short Film winner will get $250, while one runner-up will receive $100 (~€91).
