Sanda Delijah Sets New AIDA Free Immersion World Record

-

Croatia’s Sanda Delijah set a new women’s AIDA World Record this week in the Free Immersion (FIM) discipline with a dive to 98m/321.5ft.

Delijah set the record during the May 2023 Freediving Cup competition in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

In a Facebook post, Delijah said:

“I learn every day that real strength is internal and independent of all external conditions, otherwise when conditions change instead of being on top of the game I become submersed by it. If I collapse under that disappointment or that change In Condition, that’s not my real strength. Real strength is based upon my understanding of my relationship to a greater reality and the realization that the real measurement of everything in our lives is our consciousness, and even if everything is taken away from us, we always have a choice as to how we will respond to it and who we will be under the changed conditions. What happens around us is ever unreliable and beyond our control – That’s why the grounding of our energy needs to be inward and strong and I am on this path!”
