Scubapro has announced the launch of its T-Flex rashguard collection made from recycled plastics.

The new series is ideal as a warm-water cover or a wetsuit base layer, and features UPF50 sun protection.

The new series is Ideal for snorkelers, paddleboarders, freedivers and beachgoers who want UV and abrasion protection without a full wetsuit. Scuba divers can wear them as a base layer under a wetsuit in warm water or as standalone protection when snorkeling or on the surface.

Features of the new T-Flex series include:

  • Sun protection: The fabric carries a UPF 50 rating, which blocks roughly 98% of UV radiation
  • The material is four-way stretch, lightweight, and quick-drying; long-sleeve versions include thumbholes to help when pulling on a wetsuit.
  • Sustainable fabric blend: The T-Flex rashguards are made from 85% recycled polyester (from plastic bottles) and 15% elastane, providing stretch and comfort while reusing plastic waste.
  • Leggings use 76% recycled nylon plus elastane.
  • Available in multiple colors and prints for men and women

Depending on the items, prices range from €59/~US$68/~£44 to €89/~$102/~£67.
