Evonne and Michael Dunn created a jewelry line specifically for divers, and this week have been showcasing it at DEMA Show in Orlando.
Dive Flag Jewelry offers a selection of items — earrings, bracelets, rings, pendants, key rings — each featuring the iconic dive flag. The pieces are made of rhodium-plated brass, which will not tarnish. Simulated coral and shells are inlaid to create the classic red and white of the dive flag design.
Using these materials protects the reefs by decreasing the use of actual corals. This also creates for an interesting depth to the pieces in addition to a more durable design.
Dive Flag Jewelry pieces range from US$25-$45 (~€23-€40). Newly added is the Dive Flag Lapel Pin for $15 (~€14). The available chains are either a rhodium-plated, leather braided cord or black-coated steel cable wire. For a further unique chain, the bracelet or anklet uses actual o-rings.
