The upcoming summer solstice on 21st June sees many celebrations worldwide. For those living in the UK, the summer solstice can be celebrated with a Midsummer Dance and Hog Roast at the St. Ives Sub Aqua Club based in Cambridgeshire.
Mixing English tradition of ancient festivals with a modern twist, the St. Ives Sac are preparing to feast and dance, for charity. All profits will go to the RNLI and the SOS Tartarugas. The SOS Tartarugas are based in the Cape Verde islands, which are the breeding grounds for many types of turtle.
To buy tickets, contact lanna@joeski.gotadsl.co.uk. The venue will be in an atmospheric medieval hall set in the beautiful rolling Cambridgeshire countryside, and a five-piece band playing an electric mix of classic rock, pop and soul covers.
There will also be an auction, with sponsored prizes from Scubapro, SDS, Princeton Tec and AP Valves.
