Surfers Descend Below Water with PADI

Employeesof the surfing wetsuit manufacturer XCEL seizedthe occasion to explore the underwater world under the guidance of the DiveCenter Argonaute, located in Toulouse. Lacd’Hossegor, situated in Département Aquitaine in the South West of France, wasthe ideal location for this event. 

GSM Europe is the European HQ of lifestyle brands Billabong,Element, Von Zipper, Kustom Nixon and the surfing wetsuit manufacturer XCEL inHossegor, at Lac d’Hossegor.

The PADI Discover Scuba Diving programme was hosted for the surfers by PADI Europe, to allow them to experience the water from a different perspective.

The XCEL Europe Brand Manager Carl Wieser said in a press release that he was actually nervous before goinginto the water and that with his surfing background anything longer than 10 seconds under waterfeels like a long time.AFter the first breaths he said that he was then looking forward to getting more experience and goingdeeper.

 

XCEL has been defining, developing and testingperformance gear since 1982. The INFINITI system continues to lead the surf wetsuit industry withback to back SIMA “Wetsuit Of The Year” honours, in 2007 for the X-ZIP seriesand in 2008 for the DRYLOCK series.

 

Each wetsuit in the INFINITI series is asclose to a thermal second skin as possible. XCEL will be moving ahead todevelop products which will compliment a water sport lifestyle with a wider product rangefocused at the demands of their customers both in and out of the water.
