“Her Deepness” and Mission Blue founder Dr. Sylvia Earle will co-host a Twitter chat session this week on plastics in the ocean.

In a tweet issued Thursday, February 23rd, Mission Blue said:

“You voted; we listened: #PLASTICS are top of mind. So, we’re having a super-charged #twitterchat called #moreoceanlessplastic! Join in!”

The chat will take place Wednesday, March 1st at 10:00 a.m. U.S. Pacific Time, and in addition to Earle and Mission Blue will also be co-hosted by the non-profit 5 Gyres Institute.

The 5 Gyres Institute will also co-host a “Summit for Solutions” next month in conjunction with the South Carolina Aquarium and the Lonely Whale Foundation in Charleston, South Carolina.

The summit will take place on March 30, 2017 at the Charleston Gaillard Center. For more info, check out the 5 Gyres website.
