The Manta Trust has announced the creation of a new, free education portal.
The new tool enables parents, teachers and ocean guardians worldwide to access free marine-oriented education tools, including lesson plans, games, and resources. They are aimed at increasing awareness and climate literacy globally.
The new tools are designed for students aged seven to 14 to inspire future generations. The lesson plans cover 14 subjects, with a total of 17 plans available to download. For as extensive a global reach as possible, plans are available in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. In addition, there are multimedia resources and more that can be used.
Commenting on the new portal, Manta Trust Education Manager Flossy Barraud said:
“We are delighted to finally have an online portal where educators can access the hundreds of ocean education resources we have been developing for years. Thanks to all the educators who have helped us to shape these lesson plans and activities.”
