Tickets are now on sale for the 2019 NOGI Awards Gala and Banquet.
The awards are presented by the Academy of Underwater Arts & Sciences and this year’s event is the 59th edition of the awards. The awards will be held at the Rosen Center Hotel during DEMA Show in Orlando, Florida, on November 14th, 2019.
According to AUAS President Dan Orr:
“The NOGI Award is the oldest and most prestigious award in the recreational diving world, recognizing individuals who have made significant career contributions to the sport, the industry, and the world in the Arts, Sciences, Environment, Sports/Education and through Distinguished Service.”
This year the five recipients of the NOGI Awards are:
- Arts- Brian Skerry.
- Science- Tom Neuman.
- Environment- Dr. Wallace J. Nichols.
- Sports/Education- Eric Hanauer.
- Distinguished Service- Jerry Greenberg.
