Visit Seafest at Hatfield Marine Science Center

Even had the itch to be a Marine Biologist?

Now you can scratch that itch and dive into an ocean of discovery when the Hatfield Marine Science Center hosts an open house for this important research facility on June 21.

The center isn’t normally open to the public.

Tour the center’s labs and the surrounding estuary, listen to scientists talk about marine ecology, deep-sea exploration, seabirds, sea otters and other subjects and watch a remote- operated hovercraft in action.

Kids can take part in crab races, art and coloring projects and games.

The Hatfield Marine Science Center is located at the south end of the Yaquina Bay Bridge near the Newport Aquarium, 2030 S. Marine Science Drive, Newport, Oregon.
