If you’re going to propose to the love of your life, you might as well do it underwater.
That’s exactly what Mattia Mattarese did to his girlfriend Fiona Ngo during their recent dive vacation to Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean.
Mattarese, an aquarium manager in Perth, Australia, first met his bride-to-be in 2017, according to the Daily Mail. He said:
“We both have a huge passion for diving, it’s one of the reasons we became interested in each other in the beginning.
“The first time we said ‘I love you’ to each other was underwater on a dive, we wrote it on a slate. So it felt prefect for the proposal too.”
