Aqualung has announced the appointment of Bruno Cercley as the new chairman of the Aqualung Group supervisory board.
Cercley initially trained as an aeronautical engineer at the Ecole Supérieure des Techniques Aeronautiques et de Construction Automobile before taking on various sales and management roles.
He is credited with turning around the fortunes of iconic French ski brand Rossignol. He took the helm in 2008 and over a period of 13 years through 2021, turned the company around and spearheaded a highly successful period of expansion.
Commenting on his new role, Cercley stated:
“I am very happy to have the opportunity to contribute to Aqualung’s future, whose DNA is very close to that of Rossignol: teams of passionate people, a world leader position based on permanent innovation and products excellence, the control of manufacturing with its own factories, a worldwide sales and service network, especially in North America. The business rebound requires a change of scale and optimizations of all key processes, including those of the supply chain. Enabling Aqualung Group to succeed in this promising step is an exciting human adventure.”
