Avelo is set to launch the ProfileX Challenge at DEMA Show 2025 in Orlando, Florida next month.
The competition will culminate in the ProfileX Challenge Party, held Tuesday, November 11 from 4–6 PM at Booth 1470, celebrating precision buoyancy control and the instructors and divers redefining what’s possible underwater.
The ProfileX Challenge invites Avelo instructors around the world to demonstrate their teaching excellence and precision diving techniques using Shearwater air-integrated computers. Between October 1 and November 11, every Recreational Avelo Diver (RAD) certification taught became an entry into the competition, with instructor–student teams submitting their buoyancy profiles for evaluation.
At the end of their specialty course training, instructors verified buoyancy control points using Shearwater’s Avelo Mode integration, measuring consistency and stability throughout the dive. The tightest spread of buoyancy points signifies exceptional control, earning competitors the chance to win major prizes from Shearwater and Avelo.
The top three instructor-student teams will be revealed live during the ProfileX Challenge Party, where Avelo says it will celebrate “innovation, education and community across its growing global network of Dive Centers.”
Avelo Labs CEO and inventor Aviad Cahana said:
“The ProfileX Challenge brings data-driven diving to life. It’s not just a competition. It’s a reflection of how Avelo and Shearwater technology empower instructors and divers to achieve mastery through measurable performance and effortless buoyancy.”
During the event, the company will also share updates from across its expanding ecosystem of Avelo Dive Centers, including Avelo Mode educational programs, upcoming travel experiences and global partnerships with leading resorts such as Solitude World.
