Bali based Deus ex Machina, a trendy concept shop devoted to the culture around sports like Surfing and Custom Motorbikes, has teamed up with professional freediver and underwater filmmaker/photographer Pepe Arcos to showcase Freediving in an exhibition called “Essence of Wildness”.
The event will be at Deus ex Machina venue at Canggu, Bali on July 15th 2016. There will be free arrival drinks from Albens Cider and Plaga wine from 7pm, as well as an opportunity to meet the artist. Pepe Arcos also exclusively presents his filmwork on opening night.
Pepe Arcos took time to speak to DeeperBlue.com:
“This is a great personal chance to show my best images from my freediving photography world, printed and framed in high quality in the whole gallery. It is also my first solo photo exhibition and this makes me feel very excited. I want to display a selection of 16 images that represents a mysterious world of freediving trying to inspire non-divers but passionate for the Ocean, to get a glimpse of our underwater worlds and the freedom of diving on a single breath. The collection of images will be accompanied by a wall projection of the video clips also captured when I was shooting the images and with an ambience sound to create the atmosphere. The gallery sells the artwork so it will be as well the first time that my work will be available for purchase.”
