Are you moderately experienced with technology, and a frequent user of Shearwater products and dive log software? Shearwater Research Inc. — the award-winning dive computer manufacturer — has just announced the beta release of its first app: The Shearwater Cloud.
Shearwater is now looking for 200 committed divers to actively beta test this software. Users must be willing to deal with bugs, crashes or connection problems, and enthusiastically provide feedback.
The company states that that the Shearwater Cloud will allow divers to link their network of devices and share information between them. It will be capable of many things including reviewing and editing dive logs, updating firmware, or changing the language. You will be able to do all of this remotely from phones or tablets. Or, if you prefer, from the comfort of your office or home on a desktop computer.
The beta app is currently supported for iOS and Android. Installers for Windows and Mac will be released further along in the beta. Interested users should click here to sign up.
The company has stated that they plan to release the full version of the Shearwater Cloud in Spring 2017.
