Belgrade To Host CMAS World Freediving Indoor Championship

The World Underwater Federation (CMAS) has announced that the World Freediving Indoor Championship will take place in Belgrade, Serbia this coming June.

The Serbian Underwater Association (SOPAS) will organize the June 10 to 16, 2022, event, according to a post on the CMAS Facebook page.

“Stay tuned for more information!” the post said.

Two countries that will not be represented at the competition will be Russia and Belarus. In the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, CMAS last week decided to ban Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in CMAS-sanctioned freediving events.
