Big Blue 2015 Begins

The safety team is setting up the comp zone & running practice drills, the athletes are arriving & training, and La Paz (the capital city of the Mexican state of Baja California Sur) is welcoming everyone to its first ever international Big Blue freediving competition.

Renowned freedivers from all around the globe, including champions like Tomoka Fukuda of Japan, Davide Carrera of Italy, and Alexey Molchanov of Russia, are joining event organizer & Mexican national record holder Estrella Navarro for nine days of competition and wildlife viewing in the beautiful waters off of Isla Espíritu Santo.
