The Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber has just posted a new web page with details of how to perform a rapid diver’s neurological exam, including a six-plus minute Quicktime video of the exam process.
Performing a proper neurological exam is essential in determining whether or not a diver has neurological deficits resulting from decompression sickness (DCS), air embolism, or other medical problems following a dive. A rapid initial neurological exam can provide valuable information for the medical personnel who will be treating the diver.
The neurological exam is located on the Chamber’s web site at: Catalina Chamber Rapid Exam
