Cousteau Divers Will Help Remove Abandoned Fishing Nets From Santorini Waters

This coming World Oceans Day next month, members of Cousteau Divers along with dive partner Ghost Fishing will help find and take away abandoned fishing gear from the waters around the Greek island of Santorini.

The nets the divers collect will be remade into a special yarn for use in swimsuits.

The event will support the establishment of a marine protected reserve around the island.

On June 8th, check out the livestream on Facebook, where Pierre-Yves Cousteau will be narrating the diving mission and conducting a Q&A session with viewers.
