Dive-A-Thon To Support The South African Handicapped Scuba Association

-

South Africa’s Handicapped Scuba Association has announced the dates for its 50-hour scuba Dive-A-Thon.

The event will take place October 15-17, 2021.

The event aims to raise money for the association, with 1000 dive slots available for sale. The association aims to help people with disabilities and improve their lives through scuba diving.

Being underwater, experiencing the weightlessness of neutral buoyancy, and exploring the wonders of the ocean can be a life-changing and enhancing experience for people with disabilities and can have a strong rehabilitative effect on them.

The organization works with people with a wide range of disabilities, including muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, amputees, and paraplegics.

One dive slot costs SAR150/~US$10/~€ 8.9/~£7.7.

You can donate using a credit card or bitcoin via Payfast here, or find out more about the Handicapped Scuba Association South Africa here.
