Shark Scientist Dr. Rachel Graham will be joining the 2023 Caribbean Conservation Week.
The Sea of Change Foundation’s event will be taking place aboard the Belize Aggressor IV this year and runs from August 19-26, 2026.
Graham is a Belizean National with over 25 years of working in shark conservation in her country. This year, she was honored by the Explorer’s Club EC50 as one of “fifty extraordinary individuals changing the world.”
During the liveaboard itinerary, guests can enjoy short afternoon presentations between dives, on a variety of Belize shark subjects. Topics include:
- Rewilding Belize with Sharks.
- The Secret Lives of Belize’s Sharks and Rays.
- When Shark Fishers Become Shark Stewards.
According to Aggressor Adventures CEO Wayne Brown:
“This is an amazing opportunity for divers to deepen their experience with important conservation context above and below the water. At Aggressor Adventures, combining exploration and conservation is part of our DNA.”
While Samantha Whitcraft, the Executive Director of the Sea of Change Foundation, added:
“We’re thrilled to have Dr. Graham join us on this adventure. Her expertise and unique, local insights to conservation in Belize are sure to make this year’s Caribbean Conservation Week an adventure of a lifetime!”
