Freediving centers all over the world provide many opportunities for learning and training. To begin your journey, you can start with the basics such as ‘Try Freediving’ or enroll in a Freediving Basic course. As you progress, be sure to check out one of the many Freediving specialties such as Night, Wreck, Deep, Photo and more, or choose the more competitive pathway with three individual Freediving Levels.

With Level 1 you will reach 10 meters (33 ft), learning proper breathing techniques and familiarizing yourself with diaphragm breathing. You will learn how to be more efficient with breath-holding, gain better respiration and muscle flexibility and learn new skills to take your Freediving to the next level. Level 2 reaches 20 meters (66 ft) where you will gain further knowledge of the mammalian diving reflex as well as advanced equalization techniques and Level 3 goes even further, accomplishing 30 meters (99 ft). From Levels 1 to 3, each course teaches you how to progressively increase your depth and comfort through knowledge, skills, equipment and experience. Dedicated Freediving Specialties representing different disciplines such as Monofin, Free Immersion, Variable Weight, Training Tables and many more, comprise this complete system. Once you become certified in Freediving Level 2, you will be qualified to attend a Freediving Instructor Training Course and start sharing your new passion with others. From there you can easily upgrade to higher levels by growing your Freediving experience. Dive Professionals from other agencies are welcome as well, making use of SSI’s effortless Crossover Programs.
