Freedive Café Podcast Starts Its Year With Alexey Molchanov

The Freedive Café podcast is back for its second year, and kicks off with an interview with Alexey Molchanov.

As usual, the in-depth interview covers a broad range of topics including his then-Constant Weight (CWT) world record dive to 129m/~423ft. (Editor’s Note: The episode was recorded before Molchanov subsequently broke his own record at Vertical Blue this week.)

Also on the table is his late mother, freediving legend Natalia Molchanova, with questions including what happened to her, what influence she had over his development, and what has he learned from her.

The interview also covers other topics including his training methods, does he think DCS is now becoming a problem for freedivers on deeper dives, and is freediving going to the Olympics, amongst others.

You can listen to the podcast here.
