The dates for the Ice Hole Festival have been announced.
This year’s festival will take place on February 18-20, 2022, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
The ice diving weekend started as a fun joke but ended up being so much fun that it has now grown into a full-blown event.
The Ice Hole Festival draws in divers from across North America, including Arkansas, California, Canada, Florida, Illinois, Mexico, and Texas, who want to sample diving in freezing icy conditions.
The whole event is now a way for divers to expand their skills, have a more extreme diving experience, and develop and foster relations between dive operators and instructors across North America.
This year’s event will feature several PADI Course Directors and an SDI Instructor trainer who will be conducting an Ice Diving Instructor Courses.
