Ikelite Housing Update For the Sony Sony Cyber-shot RX100 VII

Ikelite has released an update regarding its housings for the Sony Cyber-shot RX100 VII.

Currently, the new camera is compatible with newer housing made for the Sony Cyber-shot RX100 VI. However, with older housings made prior to August 26, 2019 (serial number 72159 and below), there may be some functionality issues due to the small dimensional differences in size between the Sony RX100 VI and RX100 VII.

With the older housings, the screw attaching the rear dial control to the housing can cause issues with the rear dial and aperture control rings. A simple solution is to tighten the screw slightly which should resolve the issue. If you have other issues with your RX100 VII, then you should get in touch with Ikelite.

Sony’s Cyber-shot RX100 VII cannot be used with any Ikelite housing for earlier models.

You can find out more information here, or email Ikelite with your compatibility issues here.
