The second day of the CMAS Apnea Outdoor World Championships saw Italy take gold in both Men and Women’s categories in the experimental Constant Weight With Bi-Fins (CWT BF) discipline.
CMAS have introduced the Bi-Fins (CWT BF) category as most competitors now use monofins for the Constant Weight (CWT) category and they wanted to separate the two types as different disciplines.
Leading the podium for Italy was Michele Giurgola for the men with a 93m dive in 2min 54sec and Chiara Obino for the women with a 67m dive in 2min 27sec.
