Largest FreeDiving association moves to reduce accidents

AIDA International, the worlds largest international FreeDiving association that governs a large number of World Record attempts, has announced that due to several recent high profile accidents in the assisted depth disciplines of Variable Weight and No Limits a working committee will be put together to introduce safety protocols and guidelines that athletes will need to adhere to.

In the meantime the AIDA Board have announced that further record attempts in those disciplines may only be accepted "reluctantly".

We’ll keep you informed of any further developments.
