Actress Halle Bailey, who will be starring in the upcoming live-action version of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” showed off her scuba skills in a recent video.
Bailey can be seen cavorting underwater in the short clip, posted to her TikTok and Instagram accounts.
In addition to Bailey, Awkwafina is set to play Scuttle, Daveed Diggs will play Sebastien, Javier Bardem will be King Triton, Jonah Hauer-King will play Prince Eric and Melissa McCarthy will play Ursula.
Chances are, Bailey and her castmates will have to bone up on freediving for the underwater segments of the movie like the upcoming “Avatar 2,” unless the producers pull an “Aquaman” and film them on land using special effects.
The movie is scheduled for a 2023 release.
