The Emirates Diving Association (EDA) have teamed up with the Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS) to run the Dive Middle East Exhibition 2007 (DMEX). From 13-17 March, DMEX will run alongside DIBS at the Dubai International Marine Club, Mina Seyahi.
The show ‘within a show’ will see exhibitors display products on a floating exhibition area within the marina display section of DIBS combined with an interactive diving demonstration platform. This sectorisation within DIBS will provide exhibitors and visitors alike with a dedicated industry platform. This collocation brings together exhibitors from the UAE and across the region showcasing the latest dive equipment, supplies and services. EDA will host a series of demonstrations on the latest diving specialities, training programmes and projects taking place around the region. The current diving trends in the UAE will also be a show feature along with educational events aimed at children and dive enthusiasts.
The diving industry in the United Arab Emirates continues to grow and expand with the pace of development in the country. With many new waterfront projects planned not only in Dubai and Abu Dhabi but also the surrounding region, new opportunities for diving are being created. These new opportunities will further fuel the growth and expansion of the industry. DMEX will be the largest international trade and dive enthusiast event in the Middle East for companies in the diving, action water sports and adventure dive travel industries. EDA hopes that with annual presentation of DMEX, EDA can help lead the way for responsible diving and the protection of our seas.
