South African Natalie Rudman has claimed a new Continental Record by diving to 70m/230ft in the Constant Weight (CWT) discipline in the second day of competition at the 8th annual Caribbean Cup in Roatan. She completed the dive in 2mins 39secs.
Honduran Tourism Institute and Mayan Princess Beach & Dive Resort are sponsoring the world-class event this year and competitiors will be competing for top spots in Constant Weight (CWT), Constant Weight No Fins (CNF), Free Immersion (FIM), and Constant Weight Bi-Fins (CWTBF) disciplines.
The day kicked off with another great performance from local Hondurian Andrea C. Merlo who hit 22m/72ft in 1min 2secs for a National Record in Free Immersion (FIM).
Mexico also had something to celebrate as Pepe Salcedo claim a Constant Weight Bi-Fins (CWTB) National Record with a 92m/302ft dive in 3mins 1sec.
