Wildlife travel is an increasingly popular travel choice in 2018, and the newly released Global Wildlife Travel Index has researched the best countries in the world for such travel.

Coming out on top, in perhaps a surprising result, is the USA.

The study analyzed various factors to determine the best country for wildlife travel including wildlife biodiversity, conservation efforts and prevalence of national parks and protected natural areas.

Joining the USA in the top five countries for wildlife travel are:

-Venezuela
-Brazil
-Thailand
-Tanzania
