Organizers of the upcoming OZTek Dive Show in Australia are calling for nominations for five awards to celebrate the achievements of leading divers and industry personnel.
The awards recognize five main areas of achievement:
- Media Excellence: For ongoing promotion of ocean awareness and the diving industry, technical or otherwise.
- Industry Recognition: To acknowledge diving Industry members whose individual efforts have often had a far-reaching impact on the advancement and growth of diving.
- Outstanding Achievement Award: To recognize deserving individuals whose achievements embody the spirit of diving advancement, adventure, exploration and teamwork.
- Technical Diver of the Year: For continued outstanding achievements in underwater exploration (includes elements of teamwork, mentoring and inspiration).
- Emerging Explorer Award: Acknowledgement of an up-and-coming diver (under 35 years old) for their contribution to exploration, research or training in the spirit of team work and community.
OZTek will take place October 1-2, 2022 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
