PADI Announces A New Collaboration With Mike Coots

-

PADI has announced a new collaboration with Mike Coots to create a new unique, limited-edition PADI Gear collection that aims to raise awareness and highlight the importance of protecting sharks around the world.

Mike Coots is a PADI AmbassaDiver, surfer and world-renowned award-winning photographer. Despite losing a leg to a shark attack in his teens, Coots has dedicated most of his life to protecting sharks.

Commenting on the new collaboration, Coots said:

“This collaboration with PADI creates a vessel for people to open their eyes and hearts to the undersea world. We tend to protect things we can see, love, and feel. There is much more to a shark than a set of teeth. We need these majestic animals for a healthy ocean and planet. We can, and we must, coexist. Not only does their fate require it, but so does ours.”

While PADI Worldwide Vice President of Consumer Marketing Lisa Nicklin added:

“This exciting collaboration with Mike Coots aligns with PADI’s blueprint for ocean action, where protecting vulnerable and endangered marine species like sharks is a core focus. This is a unique collection, designed to allow divers and non-divers alike to celebrate and support sharks and the ocean in a fun and meaningful way.”
