While Black Friday and Cyber Monday are two of the biggest days to save on spending, PADI is also doing its part to help save the planet above and below the surface around this year’s biggest U.S. shopping holiday.
If you’re interested in becoming scuba certified or expanding your diving skills to explore the ocean’s treasures, PADI says you’ll receive 10% off an Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver or Rescue Diver eLearning course when purchased on PADI.com. The training agency will then donate 10% of proceeds from the promotion to an ocean conservation charity.
Additionally, PADI says it’ll be celebrating a newer but more altruistic holiday after Thanksgiving, Giving Tuesday on December 3rd.
PADI will be giving 20% of all proceeds from PADI Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver or Rescue Diver eLearning courses purchased at padi.com to Project AWARE, a global nonprofit that connects passion for ocean adventure with the purpose of marine conservation.
More than 250 million tons of plastic are estimated to make its way into our ocean by 2025. Everyday trash is entering the sea at an alarming rate, and Project AWARE is helping reduce marine impact through a team of over 50,000 community members.
So if one of your early New Year resolutions is to do more to help the environment, PADI has the answer this Thanksgiving weekend!
