Panerai will be unveiling a new, high-end waterproof dive watch next month named for champion freediver Guillaume Nery.
The new Luminor Submersible (PAM 982) will be water-resistant to 300 meters (984 feet) and have an engraving of fish and a freediver on the back of the watch, as well as a signature of Nery and a commemoration of his 126-meter (413-foot) record-breaking dive. It will be formally unveiled at the annual SIHH professional watchmakers’ convention in January 2019.
The watch will retail for about US$21,500 (~18,935 Euros). For an early review of the watch, check out the “Blog to Watch” blog. For more info on Panerai’s selection of watches, go to the Panerai website.
