Submersible operator Aquatica has announced an expedition to explore the world-famous Belize Blue hole.
The project is in collaboration with the Roatan Institute of Deep Sea Exploration (RIDE), and will also feature oceans advocate Fabien Cousteau as well as billionaire adventurer Richard Branson.
The event will be the first time in history that multiple submersibles will dive to the bottom of the 407ft/124m site. The dives will aim to collect scientific data. The event will be broadcast via a live stream. Aquatica expects to release more news about the project over the next few weeks.
