Ryan Myers Takes First Place In 2017 USOA National Spearfishing Championship

The 2017 USOA Spearfishing National Championship took place off the coast of Noyo Bay, California last week, with Ryan Myers, Justin Lee and Adam Suave taking First, Second and Third places, respectively in the Individual Standings.

Myers and Lee, along with Spencer Haskins, took First place in the Team Standings.

During the day-long competition on August 3rd, participants hunted for various species of Rockfish, Cabazon, Greenling, Perch, Lingcod, and Halibut.

The competition was governed under the rules of the Underwater Society of America (USOA) and hosted by the spearfishing division of the Central California Diving Council.
