Scuba Show Launching Online Exhibitor Portal, Product Showcase This Weekend

-

Just because the Scuba Show had to cancel its 2021 event and push it back by a year doesn’t mean you won’t be able to get your diving fix this weekend.

This Saturday May 22nd, show organizers are hosting a “Virtual Edition” where an Exhibitor Portal and Product Showcase will go live, according to a recent email:

“You obviously can’t walk the show floor this year, so we asked exhibitors to show you some of their products and services here. If you were at the show, there would be companies that you intend to see and others that you discover walking the hall. We want you to connect with exhibitors the same way. The “Connect with Exhibitors” section on our website is an interactive listing of exhibitors and their offerings. You’ll find descriptions, cool videos, contact information, COVID updates for travel, and even some Scuba Show specials!

“You can find specific exhibitors, or at a glance you’ll be able to see who’s represented in different categories of your interests, and what products or specials they’re offering.

“For example, if you’re looking for your next diving destination, you can narrow the list down to travel generally, and from there to exhibitors in specific areas of the world.”

You’ll also be able to look for gear — by manufacturer, in general for dive equipment, or more narrowly by BCDs. The same for art, apparel and jewelry, local dive retailers, certifying agencies, underwater photography, insurance providers, dive associations and more. You’ll also have the option to bring up exhibitors at random – almost as if you were walking the show floor and just stumbled on someone new.

As for the Product Showcase:

“The #1 reason why people attend Scuba Show is to see the latest dive equipment and accessories. Our Product Showcase allows you to discover and read about products, see images and watch videos of the gear in action, find your nearest retailer or inquire for more information.

“These are items the manufacturers were hoping to present to you at the show, and while we can’t all be together in person, you can still scope out your next purchase!”

Virtual attendees will also be able to watch popular seminars from last year:

“We hosted six popular sessions live last year. In case you missed them, they were recorded and are available to watch on demand on our website and Facebook page. You’ll find a session on COVID, the best California beach dive spots, and more!”

Additionally, Carl Huggins, Ken Kurtis and Captain John Kades have updated their seminar on the facts and lessons learned form 2020 California diving facilities. This session will be available on demand on May 22nd.

Go to scubashow.com to sign up for the email that will announce the links to the Exhibitor Portal, Product Showcase and Seminars.
