Shearwater Research Announces A New CEO

Shearwater Research Inc. has announced that it has a new CEO, with immediate effect, the company has appointed Jim Hartt. Commenting on his new appointment, Hartt said:

“I am very pleased to be joining Shearwater and look forward to ensuring the revitalization and execution of our corporate strategy. Shearwater is a fascinating company that has earned a uniquely trusted relationship with its customers and is known for its leadership in product technology and performance. I intend to build on this solid foundation and further develop it.”

Hartt brings a wealth of experience with him and was previously employed by Mustang Survival for over 25 years. During his successful time there, Hartt rose through the company to become President and CEO.

Commenting on the new appointment, Shearwater Director and Founder Bruce Partridge stated:

“We are evolving at a rapid pace and are a different company from what we were just a year or two ago.  Shearwater will benefit from Jim’s proven record as a seasoned leader, dealing in both highly technical and recreational products, for domestic and international markets. Jim will be supported by a very strong senior management team who are dedicated and committed to continuing Shearwater’s success.”
