Polandish freediver Stanislaw Odbiezalek has broken his current men’s Guinness World Record in walking underwater.
Odbiezalek walked 120.1m/394ft wearing 27kg/59.5lbs in weights on the bottom of a 2-meter/6.56-foot-deep pool on Saturday, March 14th at Bærum Idrettspark Svømmehall in Norway.
Odbiezalek, who has lived in Norway for many years, had been training for this attempt since January. He caught a cold a few days before the attempt, but was successful despite the illness.
Stanislaw turns 61 years old this year and says he wants to show the world that age is just a number. This is his fifth Guinness World Record.
Odbiezalek has also set several under-ice freediving records.
In 2023, he swam for 105m/344ft before coming up for air in a frozen lake in Norway using a monofin and only wearing a Speedo.
The following year, Odbiezalek bested that record with a 110m/361ft swim.
Last year, he walked 110.7 meters (363 feet) underwater.
