Stream2Sea has has launched its new Water Sport Gear Wash — a concentrated, no-rinse formula designed to clean wetsuits, buoyancy compensator devices (BCDs), regulators, fins, swimwear and other water sport equipment.
Built for divers and watersport enthusiasts, the formula helps remove salt, chlorine, sweat, sunscreen residue and odor-causing buildup, while remaining gentle on materials such as neoprene, latex and technical fabrics, according to the company.
After time in the ocean, lake or pool, gear absorbs residues that if left untreated can contribute to material breakdown, metal corrosion and persistent odors, shortening the lifespan of gear that often represents a significant investment. Conventional cleaners may be too harsh for delicate materials and can introduce chemicals harmful to coral reefs and marine life.
Stream2Sea’s Gear Wash was formulated with a plant-based surfactant system derived from glycolipids that effectively removes strong odors, salt, chlorine and bacteria without the synthetic chemicals that can harm aquatic environments. The Gear Wash is formulated without ingredients identified as harmful to aquatic ecosystems and reflects the brand’s commitment to creating products with consideration for the world’s waterways.
