The BritishSplash-In Championship – 2008, organised by the British Society of UnderwaterPhotographers (BSoUP) in association with the National MarineAquarium, will take place on Saturday 12 July at the Mount Batten Centre and the National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth, Devon. All underwater photographersare invited to participate.
There aretwo competitions – digital images taken on the day and prints taken prior tothe event. Prizes, trophies and individual awards will be presented for winningimages in each category (see below for full details). In addition, grand prizeswill be awarded by an independent panel of judges for the image selected as thebest taken in local waters on the day and for the best print. The prize for thebest image taken in local waters on the day is again a one week liveaboardholiday in the Red Sea generously donated by Tony Backhurst Scuba and the prize for the best print isalso a one week Red Sea diving holiday generously donated by Oonasdivers.
Viewing andjudging of the on the day images entered will take place at the National MarineAquarium in Plymouth on the Saturday night.
