Will There Be An AIDA Team World Championship This October?

If you’re a competitive freediver and involved in your national team, you’d better let AIDA know ASAP on whether your country will be participating in this year’s Team World Championship in Kalamata, Greece.

The competition is currently scheduled for October 7th-14th, and according to AIDA President Carla Hanson, event organizers need to know by the end of this week whether there is enough interest in going forward with it:

“We only have three teams signed up at this point and must know by the end of this week – AUGUST 11 – if your nation is planning to send a team. We need a minimum number of at least 50 athletes to make this event feasible.

“We need your commitment NOW or we will cancel the event and make other plans for a different type of AIDA competition which has more competitor support and interest.”
