An attempt to set the Deepest Fashion Photoshoot record will take place at Deepspot Poland on August 25, 2024.
The attempt is the work of photographer Filip Blommaert, aka Chef Blom.
While Blommaert will be behind the camera, Austria’s freediving record holder Christin Gerstorfer will be in front of it, serving as the photo model for the shoot. Up to this point, they have not announced a target depth for the attempt.
Commenting on the attempt, Blommaert stated:
“This is not just about setting a record; it’s about merging art with the extreme. We are pushing the limits of what’s possible in fashion photography, taking it to depths never before explored. With Christin’s extraordinary diving skills and Marike’s makeup artistry, I believe we will create something truly spectacular that will resonate within both the fashion and diving communities.”
While Gerstorfer added:
“As a freediver, I’m always seeking new challenges and ways to connect my passion with other disciplines. Being part of this world record attempt allows me to showcase the beauty and power of underwater environments in a completely new light.
